Columbus, OH — CASTO, one of the country’s leading real estate organizations, is close to finishing over $5 million in renovations at WestPointe Plaza in Hilliard, Ohio. The $5 million project includes $1 million in façade renovations and a multi-million dollar interior renovation at AMC Columbus 10.
“We’ve heard tremendous guest feedback about the theatre renovations at AMC Columbus 10, and we’re excited that we can deliver the very latest in movie-going amenities to our guests at the WestPointe Plaza,” said John McDonald, Executive Vice President, U.S. Operations, AMC Theatres. “The AMC Signature plush power recliners, MacGuffins adult beverage concept and our new Feature Fare menu, along with a pristine on-screen presentation make for a fantastic night of entertainment at the movies.”
WestPointe Plaza was one of the first major shopping centers in the Hilliard area, opening in 1995, and is still one of the largest centers in its trade area. Tenants include Marshalls, PetSmart, Party City, Five Below, and shadow-anchor Walmart. Fast casual restaurant, Pizza Fire opened early this month at the center
“We are committed to central Ohio and this trade area. In order to keep the center relevant, we decided to invest in a renovation that would improve the shopping center signage and provide a more current color palate for our tenants. We have plans to continue the renovation to the other areas of the center in 2018,” said Nikki Fisher, CASTO’s Vice President of Asset Management.
Earlier this year, WestPointe Plaza saw the closing of retailer Gander Mountain. The 31,000-square foot space has seen interest from both local and national tenants.
“Westpointe Plaza has a strong tenant line up that is synergistic to the local shopper. We are excited to add a new retailer to the tenant mix that will complement the center.” Fisher said.
CASTO expects the first phase of renovations to be completed in the coming weeks.
