“… to create value for our customers, associates, owners and the communities we serve,” it’s part of our mission statement and ingrained in our culture. At CASTO we believe that supporting our community is an essential part of our business, and it’s why we offer volunteer and philanthropic giving initiatives throughout the year.
CASTO Columbus Headquarters
The CASTO Community Impact Committee adopted four families for Christmas this year with the goal to provide dinner and gifts for each of the families that may not have a Christmas otherwise. CASTO placed an Angel Tree in the Cafe with angel ornaments with gifts listed on them for each associate to shop for those in need.
Beginning November 1st, CASTO Communities accepted food donations for the Mid-Ohio Foodbank in Columbus, Ohio. Donations were dropped off in the leasing office and the CASTO Community that had the most donations will receive a pizza party.
Shops at Sea Island
Whippersnappers Toys at Shops at Sea Island has become the designated Toys for Tots Toy drive location through the month of December. Whippersnappers Toy Store is offering 10% off purchases that go towards filling the box of toys.
Volunteers from local charities volunteer their time to wrap gifts at Lakeside Village throughout the holiday season. The proceeds that are donated will be given to the charity of each of the wrappers.
Pier Park North
In the aftermath of Hurricane Michael, Pier Park North gave away 10 Thanksgiving meals to victims and first responders. For the Christmas season, another gesture like this will be offered.
Park West Village
At the Winter Wonderland celebration, sleigh rides were offered and each $1 donation per ride was donated to the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation. Park West Village raised over $950 at their event.
CASTO gives back to our communities to which we live and work all throughout the year. Some of the nonprofit organizations that CASTO has partnered with include:
